IV - The vision of black and white
Sensitivity to light is much more developed than us, firstly, by the density of rods of the retina that gives it a remarkable night vision and the speed of adaptation of the pupil against a sudden change of brightness . The horizontal slit pupil allows him to keep almost all of the visual field in spite of strong sunlight.
V - Details
The donkey is not growing as details binoculars, but thanks to the wide field of view, it can easily detect movement in the distance, then positions his head raised toward the object spotted it will identify more clearly.
The predominant colors are less bright than the contrasts in the perception of its environment.
Because of lateral positioning and projecting eyes, they are more susceptible to damage of the cornea (branches). In Hitch, the flanges are equipped with blinkers that are believed useful for centralizing gaze attention and then, but you must know that the whip ended with a wick can be dangerous to the eye. A whip cracks because of an acceleration wave to its end and reached the sound barrier. Imagine the impact of the wick on the eye and the pain of!
VI - Conclusion
The donkey sees very well, but does not like us, surveillance around him is remarkable, the colors are very sad but he sees well at night. It needs a high mobility of the head to see what he saw (even in the mirrors) and once identified it is reassured.
